Hi

I need advice on adapting a 4.5 mtr Omnistor awning room to fit a 4mtr awning. The awning came fitted to my van and I have a chance to get a residence but it is 0.5 mtr to long. Does anyone know if they can be cut down and restitched to fit either at home or by a company. If there is / are companies who can do this what sort of price would they charge. Living near the Solent I have plenty of sail makers near by so I will ask them aswell.

There used to be a company in Gosport that altered caravan awnings etc. No idea if it is still there. Artona has the same problem, and looking at it whilst at Warren Farm it appears to be a straightforward operation. Cut off surplus at the window and stitch the end piece back on. Easy to say but no doubt a skilled job.

Many thanks for the reply. Do you know the name of the company in Gosport?

Don't know the name but they were sited down near Asda. You may also find some alteration companies in the caravanning magazines.
