Hi Peter

Just bought one, had a quick try with it, no success. But thats me, not the system I'm sure.

Just sent for an audible sat finder, when that arrives, I will have another go.

But its got to be good value for money. Its supposed to be "B" grade, but the one I have has no scratches, marks etc

I will be shouting out for help soon I suppose Embarassed

regards

Geoff

We also bought one, and to start with couldn't get it to work. I'm no expert and my husband did the technical stuff but I think he had to change the setting on the receiver to include the frequency that the programmes we wanted were being broadcast on. When the machine got to us, it wasn't searching for a high enough frequency. And also, when you move the dish to pick up the satellite, it's surprising how little you have to move it before you've gone past the darn thing. Really tiny movements. Hope that helps.

This outfit is well documented elsewhere on MHF. Its great if you can spare time and patience setting it up. You have to have a good line of sight to the sallytite and move the dish in 1mm increments to get a picture. I never did find any programmmes that justified the time I was spending getting a picture. So I got a freeview box!

I have a very similar model, works well for me but I prefer to take my sky digibox receiver from home rather than the receiver it came with (premium channels).

I've got one.

StAubyns - Surprised you are having an issue - took me 5 mins to get it out of the box, use suction-cap on car window, and get it working.

Make sure you have connected the LNB correctly as you have to do this yourself, and make sure there are no shorts. Make sure it is connected correctly to the back of the box (yes - I've been going mad once before I realised I hadn't connected it!!)

Use the info screen, and "sat finder" (1) and it beeps, and then it is easy to take a rough aim and slowly move till the beeps are high....

Superb value for £49.99 (should get free postage) - the receiver is really quick and good.

I would say I'll be buying a bigger dish (80cm) when I go down south.

Hi Ryan

nice website - wish I could do that Crying or Very sad

When I say a quick try, I mean a quick try. I only had a few moments to spare and I just connected it to the skybox, I'm sure that when I have a serious go all will be well Cool

thanks

Geoff
