If you see something to do with "Life is Beautiful" Don't open it apparently then you get a message saying Life is not beautiful and your name, passwords and email can be obtained.
I heard about it from a friend in an email but it asked for the email to be forwarded but I don't like emails that ask for things to be forwarded so I didn't and have deleted the email.

Maybe a silly question but I'm not as Internet literate as I ought to be, but if you "Google" a virus do you run a risk of catching it? If you know what I mean!

Nope. It's the same risk as asking someone about a throat infection. You'd have to snog them before you caught it; the computer equivalent would be to download a file from somewhere, but if your firewall & anti-virus software is installed, it should be caught (like a face mask, although I accept it takes the fun out of snogging....)
Allegedly.
Dougie.

If you google all that happens is a list of possible hits is downloaded you then choose which to look at.
Going to snopes is better IMO as there is no risk of downloading a virus file even if you click wildly plus you can check out all sorts of urban myths.
