Not sure what happened with this Guest business...

anyway - the way David Sullivan put it, you'd get a signal quality reading (admittedly minimal) even if you were pointing the dish the opposite way! Is that not the case?

Hi Stormy,I bought the same system as you combined with a Pace digi-box.I also bought a signal meter at the same time(based on my experience trying to find Sky using the turn method and menu system from my garage roof when the winds blew the house dish off beam) and I found Sky within about 10 min loud and clear. It was a bit of a fiddle but I reckon with more experience this will become quicker.I am aware that other web-sites say you don`t need a meter but for £12.99 it seemed easier,Gordon

Cheers Gordy, can see where you got the signal meter from straight away!!

I may have to take this offline with you because I would be very keen to hear about your digibox - whether it's the tiny silver one (we got it a few months ago after the auld one broke down) and whether you had no reading on the signal quality bar at all to start with.
