I have finishing programming in the automation and testing it, hopefully its bug free Wink

For a while now we have had a signup field when new members register where they can type in the persons username who referred them

From now on, if you have referred people to the site and then 4 of them or more join and then later subscribe you will get either of the following automatically:

1. If you are already a subscriber, 12 months will be added to your subscription end date.
2. If you are not a subscriber, a 12 month FREE Subscription will be created for you automatically.

I hope this will encourage word of mouth signups Smile

I am having some business cards printed and I will send out 25 of these to whoever sends me a SAE (Some will be given to Rally staff to hand out at rallies also) which are taken from the design below, yes there is a small ODB logo and contact details on them as well, but that is how I can make it worthwhile to me to get them printed and send out for free to you guys Smile

The Business card has a space available for you to write in your username so when they do get around to signing up they get your username correct Smile

You can also download the design as its in PDF Format and print some off yourself locally Smile

Good luck, and spread the word.

You shall go on and on (well, you do now..). For a man of your calliper, a mere bagatelle.

Well I won't be using the official cards. As I have no knowledge of how good or bad Outdoorbits is I'm not handing out something from me that may be seen as an endorsement.

I think it is inappropriate and I for one would like a greater separation of the site owners interests.

BTW its also a 1.1MB pdf file! I've put it below as a 56K jpg

Talking of inappropriate.

is it only me that has noticed the following in the MHF flyer

"if we have piqued your interest"

piqued = to annoy it also can mean provoke but not I think in the way intended Smile

Frank,

I chuckled at that when I first saw it, but elected not to mention it here, for fear of being flamed as being a pedant. As we know, the pedants are revolting. Very Happy

I agree with your point regarding endorsing Outdoorbits by default, in view of the advertising on the card. It similarly puts me off getting any.

Dougie.

And this from a man who talks about callipers.
You're certainly not a pedant.

<sigh> At least somebody acknowledged it - hardly worth the effort, I thought...

I am a borderline pedant, but have almost learnt to zip my lip most of the time about it. It's aberrant apostrophes which drive me MAD.....

Dougie.
