Planning for a winter trip maybe depending on some variables.

I need to replace front tyres which are

Continental Vanco Winters
215/75 R16C

What sort of price these going for in the UK ?
Is it cheaper to buy these in France ?

Also need a set of snow chains for the front wheels, i have sent off a few enquiries to UK suppliers but have been told they are much cheaper in France, where from ??

The prices and photos here may give you some idea of what you need. There is loads of other useful stuff on this French Camping Car Site.

sorry if you already know of it.

Mike

Dave
I recently bought 4 x 15inch Continental Vancos in France. A mate in the trade got me some uk prices SE England - and we reconned by buying in France (from a commercial tyre company as against a car tyre dealer) we save about 25 to 30 pounds sterling a tyre
Good saving ay !!

Hi Dave,

In this country £85 - £100 is a reasonable price for chains. We got a set of Konigs for £85 (15in) from

make sure you get the heavy duty type.

Had a quick look around and on spykals link (narbonne) and the french prices seem about the same 130€ - 150€.

Try a search with 'chaine neige'

Can't help with the tyres.

pete.

LaGrange Pneus - SiliGom at Montreuilmer its on one of the main roads into this small town they also have a place at Abbeville. Would need to do digging to see if I still had invoice but without asking they gave 30% off the invoice. After refititting wheels they even torqued the bolts up !! never seen that done in this country only on alloy wheels
My 25 to 30 pd /tyre saving was in comparison with K-F and a commercial dealer over here that my mate did for me when we were in France
