I've just had the second notification that two PMs are waiting for me, and they ain't. This also happened yesterday.
Ah well, it is a computer so what do you expect!
Hi Zeb
A notification message should only mention one PM ...I guess that you mean you have had 2 messages ......anyway please look at the times that the messages were sent and received ...and if you know how to interrogate the headers do that too for some more clues..... It does seem that it is mostly BT customers that are failing to get messages ( BT , or BT/Yahoo) Those two notifications may be so old that they are referring to PMs you opened and read several days ago.
Thanks for that, and yes I did mean two pairs of messages. Hadn't thought to check the headers, but you were correct. See below for dates sent.

Some of the notifications seem to be arriving a day or more late. You will have noticed that I am on BT Yahoo, so correct again.
No great problem, just mildly frustrating when things should work, but don't. Now, why is my leisure battery discharging when nothing is switched on . . . . . . . . . . ??
I just do not know why these messages are stuck in limbo, but we are working on it. My ISP is also BT so I want to resolve the problem too I use the notifications fron all sections of MHF to keep me alerted to what is going on here ... so I want it fixed too.
I have resorted to changing my email address that I am registered under at MHF to use my rarely used one at Gmail. This is now working just fine and the notifications are popping into my Gmail inbox.
I have realised that this is going to be an excellent way for me to work now... all the MHF mail is going to the Gmail address ... that means that I do not have to spend ages switching off the notifications if we are going away ( they jam up my mailbox otherwise) ...
Mike
P.S. as to the battery .... get a Ctek hooked up ( or even a small solar panel on offer at Maplin £9.99 ) for use while the van is on the drive...I know it is not a cure but it is a "treatment" ...Dr Spykal
I think BT may well be the problem you know and I'm fairly certain it is was causes my PC to freeze up every day at same time but have no idea how to sort that one out.
I have Google mail address and that is fine so may switch my MHF address to there if this continues.
Thanks for mentioning this Mike.

Hi Mike
Firstly, thanks for the tip, but do I need a CTEK? I should have made it clear I was referring to the habitation battery.
I thought the onboard charger can be used on a permanent basis simply by switching the option on the control panel to charge the "habitation" battery. Is this not correct?
Secondly, how long would you expect the habitation battery to retain a good level of charge when everything is off and the truck is sitting unused on the drive but not connected to the mains supply? I do have the silly touch sensitive control panel which must take a bit, but very little I would have thought, a few milliamps at most?
Hadn't really intended to quiz anybody about batteries on this thread, but since you offer. . . Should you move this post for me??
Thanks
