Don't know how to break this to you mate but according to Maxview you are. I asked them when I was having problems whether that was a solution as it seemed a logical one but they advised against it in case it glued the rest of the mechanism
Superglue sounds scary..it wouldnt rotate if it was glued would it? Not sure though but sounds a bit dodgy. I know the little thin rod you mean on the actual handle mech and there is a washer there.

Get yourself along to one of the next meets if someone has a maxview. You will then be able to see what the problem is. Have you still got the instructions? If you contact maxview I am sure they will provide a new square rod and washer. Because maxview are a caring company you should be able to fix it.
The thing that needs to come out is who fitted it? Was it a proper company? Members should be made aware so they are able to choose, or not to use them.

I spoke to maxview, Cole is a customer of mine who had a third party fit her dish. Unfortunetly the third party didn't do the best of installations and a few things have been done wrong. As this is a special case, Maxview is sending someone out to fix her problematic crank up FOC, even though its not a maxview prob but a install problem.

I agree that is excellent service from Maxview and yourself. I actually said in my post that they would help to sort it.

IMHO The question of the fitter should still be answered as other members may find themselves with the same problem. If the fitter had tried to sort it correctly when problem found, then that would have been fair enough.
The question is who was it and did someone reccomend them to Cole?
