I have posted using the degree symbol ° before, does it come out ok? If so you can copy it by quoting this post and cutting it out to paste elsewhere.

edit added a question mark and some other punctuation Smile

Frank,

I'm not having a very good day but I don't understand your post.

What key or keys do you use to get the symbol.

Don

Don,

I already passed this one to you in the other thread, but I see you're well served.

Dougie.

Dougie,

I knew somebody had but I lost the code. The suggestions so far are not working.

I've got the degree symbol on the "the insert a degree symbol" on M/S office on line but I'm totally confused.

HELP PLEASE Embarassed

Don

Don,

Do this:-

1. Press & hold the ALT key on the left side of your keyboard
2. Tap the numbers 0 1 7 6 on the number pad on the right side of your keyboard
3. Let go the ALT key

It should have entered the symbol on your post (or document, or whatever).

Dougie.

goto START goto ALL PROGRAMS goto ACCESSORIES goto SYSTEM TOOLS open CHARACTER MAP and look in the middle (ish) You can highlight the degree symbol then select and copy ready for future pasting OR you can look low right and it tells you that the mapped keystroke is ALT+0176

Why bother with that labourious method? ALT-0176 dumps it straight away, as above.

Dougie.
