Hi
Hope you can help.
We are looking to travel from the UK to Europe in Early Feb, may be the end of Jan if this rain continues.
Where would you recommend for the best weather, we like the and and see and will be away for 2 or 3 months.
Any comments will be most welcome.
Regards

"we like the and and see and willbe away "

Tel,

Not too sure what you are looking for, but basically as far South as you can - southern Spain, Portugal, Sicily, Greece.

Safer still is slightly outside Europe to Morocco or Aegean coast of Turkey.

Tel,

Almeria in the SE corner of Spain probably enjoys the best winter weather, Portugal can be wet and blustery.
We were in Almeria last winter, it was dry and warm right through Dec into Jan .. we met several people who had left the Algarve due to bad weather.
In Jan we went to Morocco, now becoming very popular with winter sun seekers, weather was warm during the day and cold at night.

The best winter weather is the costa tropical which stretches from motril along to malaga, febrero last year was 26/28c can feel chilly of a night .yesterday in our little pueblo was 26c. and its dark early. but we consider winter over from feb. then in july wow! in can be very hot 45c!!

Almeria. Very dry, which for us is the main thing. We can cope with cold nights, even a bit of wind ( Embarassed ) but give us the sun anyday. We too have spent several winters now in Almeria. At first we travelled up and down the coast of Spain to see if we could beat it but found we couldn't.

Our favourite is a little site in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. You have to drive past plastic city to get there but it is worth it.

tel999 - the typographical errors bring a certain surreality to your postings.

I would love to see this toad that you will be towing, and what about the rout - sounds fun.

As for we like the and and see , at first I thought it was a TV programme, like Ant & Dec!

Enjoy your planning and more so enjoy your trip.

We are only jealous that you can escape, leaving us behind in Blighty.

Hi

I can't open Jim's link being on gprs but I assume Plastic city refers to the acres of greenhousing.

We loved Almeria, home of the spaghetti western
