Can anyone assist us?

We have a Motorised Automatic Twin LNB Oyster Satellite system installed and it has developed a fault and just wondered if anyone has ever come across this problem with their own set up?

We are away with our friends at the moment in Scarborough, North Yorkshire and this evening, when we arrived on the caravan site we put the satellite dish up as usual and the dish went up fine no problem whatsoever - but when we went out this evening we happened to look back at our motorhome and noticed that our satellite dish was twitching and moving around. Anyway when we returned back to our motorhome we noticed that the TV was saying that there was no satellite signal being received! We put the dish back down but when we attempted to put it back up again NOTHING it just wouldn't go up although e could hear it making a clicking noise like it was trying to go up. ! There was a message on the little LED box saying either EO6 but goodness knows what that means? Hubby has checkedthe 2 fuses etc and they are ok and there is definitely power getting through to the control box.

Can anyone please advise us what this could be and how we go about resolving this matter once and for all?

Thanks.

Sue

Hi Sue

I presume you have a clear line of site to the satellite? How's your battery?

Other than that, you need someone who knows the error codes. Hope it's not gone faulty.

Thanks Gerald. Yes we have a clear view and it was working and up and running perfectly when we went out but like I say when we looked back we could the dish moving a bit. Also the leisure batteries are fine and we are on EHU anyway, so no probs on that front. Our friends who are on the pitch next to us in their motorhome have an Oyster system fitted too and they have not experienced any probs so we fear somethings gone wrong!

Hi Sue
I do not have the Error codes. I have though had the dish fail to go up.
I was advised by Transleisure to go on top of van and put a bit of downward pressure onto dish, then to try putting it up again. Hope that helps.

Steve

E06 simply indicates that the dish does not react after the switch on or does not react to commands.

In the fault finding it says check the fuses, but you've done that.

Not sure of how yours is connected but is it possible to switch it on with the Sky box off, then power up the Sky Box?

Failing that probably best to get in touch with Bill at

Wow - you lot are FANTASTIC!!!! It is WORKING again!

Hubby did as Steve said and pressed down on the sat dish (through the Heki Light as we don't have a ladder fitted to our motorhome) and we also at the same time switched off the whole system like Andy suggested and HEY PRESTO it sprung back into life! It took a while to lock on to Astra 2 but once it found it - everything worked perfectly so a great big THANKS to you both for your advice.

Oh I just love this forum and I would be lost without all you clever well informed people to turn to when things go pear shaped.

Heres a great big HUG and a KISS

Glad it is sorted and thanks to Andrew as I forgot to say switch it off and on again.
