Hi RedOne,we have had four aerials off of this guy Dave 01473 327998,www.ca-la.co.uk,he does the shows and mail order they are the best we have found, and we have tried most through the years.
We put ours in wardrobe through roof,he supplies everything you need including advice if you want it,he is a great guy. |

Satellite is the best, you can guarantee getting plenty of channels even when you would get nothing on terrestrial TV.

There have been a lot of threads and much discussion about aerials in MHF
From what I have read the Status 530 seems to be a very popular aerial with a lot of positive feedback, the Status 315 however has had a lot of negative comments made.
I have not used these aerials personally and there are probably many other models available.

I use a Maxview Gold Yagi type (Similar to the aerial used at home)c£20.00 from Maplins or B&Q.
It can be altered for vertical or horizontal polarisation. Vertical is for reception from relay sites, horizontal is for reception from main transmitter sites.
I put mine on a short pole and fix it to my bike rack with the Bike block which Fiamma sell to secure the bikes to the rack. Prior to that I used a bungy. Both fixing methods give you the ability to rotate the aerial in the direction of transmission. |

I feel i dont have the confidence to cut a big hole in the roof or to let some MH apprentice let loose on my new purchase and i dont want to have and wires hangin out the windies, this is my predicament
Am i askin to much or being naive as to where to put it

Paul,
If you rule out drilling any hole to get a TV cable out through the bodywork, and you reject cable through a window, then that leaves you with either a set-top directional aerial (many use them but would drive me up the wall), a silly solution such as battery powered video sender link, or defying the laws of physics. Any of those appeal?
If you accept some hole but not a big hole, how big is big?
Go for a Grade Status S530 or Image 530/18 depending on the size of hole you would accept. An ~inch diameter through the roof or a smaller hole for a cable to a directional aerial on a rear ladder or rack.
