Just met a brit couple on our travels and just trying to help them out as they have problems with their Oyster Sat system.

They own a Oyster automatic sytem.

The problem they have is that when they go through the sky digibox setup pages to the page that displays the signal strength and transport stream. These figures do not change from 000 and the signal strength bars etc dont go up either.

their software versions are as follows:-

EPG Software: 3.1a Version 5

They have been advised by their installers to change transponders etc but to no avail.

Any advice ???

When you say "to no avail" what do you mean? That they have changed digibox (& Oyster?) settings to the southern beam but still no joy? It does seem rather a coincidence that Barcelona is often where the north beams die out and you need to switch to the southern beam.

Someone in the Wirral Motorhome club had a similar problem.
The supplier was less than helpful, is it them?
They have a Hymer.
I suggested that they try

I don't know if they managed to resolve the problem.
If it isn't these people maybe there is a rogue batch of Oysters around.
Personally I wouldn't touch them unless there's a R in th month!

If signal strength figures are remaining at zero, the problem is obviously a connection one.
They should start at one end and check all connections also check for power loss.

If your last posting was referring to my 'World Service' comment.
I know that reception by sat in Spain is somewhat iffy in parts.
I find the radio has far better pictures in these areas.
