you don't have to have a big van to full time. We are now in our second year in a Hymer B544. Two of us and a dog!! Yes it is "cosy" but we manage very well. We often say that we wouldn't go to some places in a bigger van. We owned the van before we full-timed and the lifestyle is still a trial so we may go up a size or we may not. It will depend, I think, on whether we like moving infrequently (bigger van ok) or moving on after only a short stay (small van easier). Last year we did the former mostly and so started to look at big 'uns. Would love an island bed for instance. Nothing has yet drawn us away from our little Hymer though.
Of course money is also a factor. We cannot sell our house yet as it has possible building land attached. This means we have to be happy with what we have for a while. It is funny how that helps isn't it?

welcome to our happy band Rob. Sure you'll enjoy the life ( although perhaps not on days like today!! ) I have been fulltiming for over a year now. Met loads and loads of lovely people. But why stick to Caravan Club's Cl's. You may find C& C Club more friendly. Their main sites are often cheaper than CL's as they charge per person and not per pitch and if you're over 55 you get a discount, and collect stamps and you get free nights. Plus of course you get all the facilities like hook ups, washing machines, etc. I pay around £7 a night. You will find good and bad managers/owners of sites, even some 'hitlers' , but the answer is easy because you can always move. However, I can thoroughly recommend the C & CC's Devizes site now they have new managers. They wont mind if you say you are fulltiming and there is plenty of room for your size of MH. Another tip is to get Internet access which makes banking and getting info much easier. Carphone Warhouse ( I hate to advertise!! ) have a new internet connection from £10 per month. with a modem that just plugs into your USB port.
Good Luck with everything
Angie
PS One more thing if you havent already bought your MH - dont go to Brownhills or if you do BEWARE. But that's another story -, which maybe I'll post on this forum - but there might not be enough room!!

Hi PatP
Yes my body is a temple, I generally juggle with 2 at a time.
We use them because we don't want to move the RV to fill the tank so the large gas cylinders are really good, and of cource on an off day I can get them to deliver.
We have a large 18 gallon built in LPG tank, but I am saving that for the epic journey (To the Fuel station).
Regards

Hi Angie. Thanks very much for the advise.i have looked on the CCC website and it looks good.Especially like the Motorhome service facility for £5.I used to be a member of CCC about 15 years ago using a caravan but found their CL's rather uncontrolled and expensive.I like the idea of CL's, not anti-social but dont like it to crowded.Do the CCC sites put a resriction on the amount of electricity you use in the winter? The discount is good but only 52 at the moment.Dont worry giving Brownhills and Lazy Days a miss.Could you tell me more about your internet connection i have asked at PC World but a waste of time.
Regards Rob.
