On a radio show recently "Her in the passenger seat", heard about a fuel catylist called a Broquet.
Has anyone heard about these, what they can and do, are they wort the cost, how long will the repayment period be??????????
Help!!!!!!!!! is it worth it. |

Hi Mike,
They look like a metal cage about 4" X 1" with spherical discs inside, you put them directly into the fuel tank.
I put one of these in the tank of my 1958 MGA roadster a few years ago when I saw that leaded fuel was being phased out. Since then I've done a few thousand miles in the car using regular unleaded. After about a year I had to adjust the idling speed as it had become too high [I hadn't touched the carbs. for about 15 years] but otherwise everything was fine. I admit that this isn't a scientific test as the engine might have run equally well without the device in the tank.
Regards M&D |

Hi Mick I had dealings with this item a number of years ago.Its use is for engines that need leaded fuel,Its supposed to to make your average 4star motor run of unleaded so its of no use to diesel users. it was full of hype and I am pretty sure totaly useless. |
