Dave
Is it possible to have Avatars automatically re-sized when they are loaded? At the very least have a link by the Browse button to a re-sizer.

The wording is too long as well

Quote:
Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 100 KB.

How about:

Avatar Maximum size 80 x 80 pixels and 100 KB.

TIA

Steve

Very good idea Steve.

I'm sure a lot of people would find it useful, especially newcomers and those who may not be very good at that particular aspect of computing.

Shall be interested to see the result.

Cheers

Charlie
Can you add as an attachment the photo you want to resize and me, Dave or someone else will do it and repost for you.

Steve

I think you should post the big picture as an attachment, then say what lovely chaps Steve and I are (plus a bit more flannel just to make sure) then wait for the reduced piccy to reappear - all ready to use as your avatar.

There you go then.

I've been a member for just over a month and I can honestly say I have never had the good fortune to be in touch with two of the most fantastic men walking this web site!

Embarassed

But what do you hink to the pic of Fanny the fiat and my two girls on our very first day out back in October?

Fanny looks good to me Zoe, and the girls seem to be enjoying it.

This is the best it can be - I've lightened the second one. It looks a bit clearer, but with such a small image this is about the best you can expect.

. . . this is a bit better . . .

Hope I've beaten Steve - I usually come in second, but after your very acceptable flattery . . . .

Cheers
