The voice instruction on a Tom Tom one no longer works. It say it is switched on. Any ideas

Have you tried re-setting?
Try turning sound off and close down, then open up and set sound on again.

If you haven't already try


Select
'change preferences'
'volume preferences' and hit the test button in the bottom left. If all is well then it should talk to you.
