I believe you need a dish of around 1.5 to 2 mtrs to receive all the channels.
However Andy the MD of roadpro.co.uk as recently returned from a trip around Europe testing different systems, I would check there for details.

I think if I was buying a fully automatic system it would be oyster or the french Alden system but do not expect to get all the UK stations all over spain. I have been up beyond benidorm (Altea) over the weekend and seen the latest oyster system trying with no success to find channels on astra 2 such as BBC1,2 ITV and it failed because we are in a black hole for a good part of the costas. I do know that I saw the grand national at Belpuig (further north and inland) on an oyster last year, I also know that these channels can be picked up with quite some success on the coast at Mojacar (further south on the coast). As long as you dont expect miracles in this area you will be fine. Settle for the astra 1 channels ie CNN. Eurosprt,Sky News, Euronews,MTV Austria, and plenty of foreign language ones. Incidentally the smaller Samy system worked well at Mojacar . It is GPS driven and has a sun seeking solar panel on the back of the dish.
We remove 1.9 metre dishes all the time because they are not big enough 2.4 minimum in this area unfortunately is required. This is a fact not a guess. We pull in Sky with 3.5 metre dishes and its still risky on BBC2. The least gale and it moves the dishes so we have to quickly re align

Alden Netmaster, which will give you two way internet access. Use a slingbox at home and watch all of your favourite TV programmes over the internet! Simple! Not the cheapest way, but it will work.
The Netmaster is £2999.99 installation is £240 and a slingbox is circa £200 depending which one you would want.
As I say it is expensive but very very good. It gives you the equivalent to domestic broadband internet access and when using it as a satellite system will work as well as any 90cm dish.
Benidorm /Alicante has a big no go area for sat tv,
I will install you a 1.3mtr dish and sat reciever for 299€ and get you all uk channels with the exception of 4/5. costa del sol . Est of malaga.

I have the Netmaster which was fitted by Eddie's team. It works well and even picks up a satellite internet signal outside the Frontprint area provided the weather is OK. Spoke to the techie at the ISP and he was amazed I got a signal at all where I was.
Bonuses are you can also use to for Skype I use it to video conference with my family no problem. You can also use it for full SIP VoIP which will give you a UK phone number at very cheap UK rates while travelling in Europe!
Pricey but worth it in my view.
Oh, and get Eddie's team to fit it regardless who you buy it off. They know what they are doing, the campsite is excellent and the staff are great.
Sent via the Alden Netmaster 90 Internet Satellite System
