All hints / tips / advice on insurance for full-timers gratefully received!
Planning to travel through UK & EU from this spring; probably over-wintering in Portugal... any tips on that aspect welcome too!
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Hi! Welcome to the forums. I've found them very helpful so far so I hope you do.
I'm looking into insurance for a long term (12 month) european trip.
I read that if you say you are fulltiming a lot of insurance companies wont take you. I'm probably going to go with SafeGuard through swinton. To do that however you are meant to have property in the UK. I've got round this by adding myself to the electrol register at my parents - safeguard say this is fine. Safeguard as offering euro breakdown cover for the 12 months (not 30 - 60 day trips with most). I found it MUCH cheaper to get breakdown cover with your insurance company than seperately. Sureterm are also an insurance company I've found with breakdown cover.
As for travel insurance I went with http://www.essentialtravel.co.uk (£150 for a couple for the year). I used backpacking insurance which they have told me if fine for motorhomers. They have different policies available.
My mh tax also runs out when I'm abroad and I don't want to get it sent over. The post office have said if I buy a new tax disc before I go I can send back the old tax disc with the V14 form and get a refund.
