Does anybody know of good spots to spend a night in or near Great Yarmouth, I have to go up for some warranty work. A CL with hard standing or a quiet spot out the way would be ideal. Many thanks.

We spend a bit of time in Yarmouth,we wild camp opp Haven that is north deans one end of the prom there is always afew vans there, other end south deans big layby facing sea usually vans there too.
I assume you are taking van to Simpsons if so you can stay in big car-park on the front at Gorleston you are only 5mins from them there.
They are very motorhome friendly in Yarmouth.Hope this helps.

I too, like hymmi have parked outside Haven (North Deans) with no problem. The layby overlooking the sea at South Deans has a motorhome restricted sign preventing you from stopping overnight. I know the local police were pretty hot on this in the summer, not sure if they would bother now. There is plenty of parking in the dockside areas of Great Yarmouth.

Hi,
I would look for a cl or cs in one of the club books personally, I work in and around G Y and Norfolk and the areas being suggested are in my opinion not suitable during this time of year, last year in Haven during the winter the whole non private area of the camp was filled with refugees, there is a large unemployment problem in the area and some of the areas near the suggested venues leave something to be desired. Only my opinion and observations, for what its worth and not knocking GY as a venue for holidays ect in season.
