I recently tried to update my Route 66 Chicago 8000 gps System. I have it less than 12 months a find it a great piece of kit. I had the following problem recently and no thanks to Route 66 I am still trying to rectify same. On the route 66 website I availed/ tried to avail of their free update service. Removed SDCard from Gps placed in Card Reader as instructed hit download and everything going well until ERROR appeared onscreen. Put SD Card back into GPS and the GPS system would not accept it as some of its content had been erased during the Download process. Emailed Route 66 on 7/8 occassions no reply. Tried the rebboth disc without success. Any one out there with the same or similar proble I would appreciate any advice.
