They weren't in Outlook Express BUT I also have Microsoft Outlook on PC and when I checked the deleted folder they were all sitting there waiting to be rescued !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much, saved me a lot of hassle.

I must make sure I dont have my options set to delete all from delete box automatically without asking in future. I never got round to changing this setting in OE - hence I lost it all. Thank goodness for MHF and all you lovely helpful people, what would I do without you xxxxxxx

Corrupted or lost dbx files may be resolved due to dbx recovery. It can work with crashed or lost dbx files, works under any MS Windows OS. The application can show restored dbx data from any version of Outlook Express, it uses modern ways of repairing dbx files.

AOL and I assume some other servers keep all my contacts, addresses and favourites online automatically.

Although I never use Internet Explorer or Outlook I do use 'Windows Mail' and 'Windows Live Mail' to back up or copy all my mail sent and received by AOL.
