Hi all,

Just to clarify exactly what you get for your £1 per day(or £2.50 for 5 days). You can surf the web & pick up email but you can't upload/download via FTP links. If you run a website, you will not be able to upload to it. Also, the speed camera/low bridge database for our Truckmate GPS unit is an FTP download...T-mobile blocks any FTP so you can't get the updates. If you have a contract deal, it will probably allow FTP transfers...but you need to check the fine print !!!

Happy surfing

If you have a laptop and wi-fi , why do you need a mobile phone? why not just use voip/skype to phone out, or have I lost something here, seems an expensive bit of kit.

I know laptops are getting smaller, but for me a mobile phone is all about being in my pocket all the time?

Also, in general, you are more likely to get a mobile signal than a wi-fi signal?

In fact, get a Nokia N95, a bit of software called "WalkingHotspot" and a £169 iPhone.

unlock the iPhone using free software called "ziphone", and you barely need a laptop ever again Smile

Hi

Just a quick one re the 20% bonus credit that is offered etc.

I have had a credit of £12 placed in my account - but, alas, the bonus credit cannot be used for browsing - only talking. As my THREE mobile takes care of that, the bonus credit is unlikely to be used.
