Hi all here is money saving tip if you used the sealant called Sikflex normally cost £10 -£13. per tube.
Use CBF2000 it is a high quality sag resistant general purpose polyurethane sealant that cure on exposure to atmospheric moisture to for a tough elastic seal.
It is a one part formulation, elastic and non corrosive, it is low odour, resistant to ageing and weathering, can be sanded and over painted 45-55 mins tack free time.
Uses.
Bonds a variety of substrates, Suitable for making permanent elastic seals of high strength, Suitable substrate materials include timber, metals, metal primer and paint coatings, ceramic materials and plastics.
It comes in 310ml cartridges in colours of grey, black, or white it is made by Sika industry exclusively for Commercial Body Fittings Limited in there own tubes the only difference is, it only cost £4.20 a tube. Sikaflex have a superb product and reputation as the market leader and if CBF200 made by Sikaflex is good enough for making commercial bodies with its superior strength and sealing capability, it is good enough for me.
Contact No, for Commercial Body Fittings 01707371161.
You will have to add VAT and delivery depending on where you are, but you should still find it a lot less money.
Merry Christmas. |

Thanks for that, Veralin - a super tip.
I found their website here:
http://www.cbf.uk.com/prod_main.html
and they have a fantastic range of spares, too. Worth a browse through their catalogue.
Thanks again.
