Hi

Has anyone ever come across this before? Pitch is hard standing but you have to drive across grass to get on it. Ok in summer, but not the best at this time of year.

Never been here before
I´m intrigued, I´m unsure
I´m searching for more
I´ve got something that´s all mine
I´ve got something that´s all mine
Take me somewhere I can breathe
I´ve got so much to see
This is where I want to be
In a place I can call mine
In a place I can call mine

A lot of the hardstandings at the CC site at Cherry Hinton in Cambridge are worse than that. They have a mixture of gravel and tarmac pitches joined to the roadway, and gravel hardstandings with several feet, or even several yards, of grass in between.

Wood Farm at Charmouth have some of these, and as the site is terraced, reaching some of them in the wet looked as if it would be a bit a bit cheek clenching Cool Embarassed

We got stuck on a site nr Tenby a couple of summers ago. The owner got a bit cross with us like 'Didnt you park on the hardstanding?' Well, yes we did, but it was designed for a caravan with a narrower wheel base. We had one side on paving slabs and the other on grass! After a few days heavy rain we werent going nowhere!
