Hi Grandma - I am thinking of buying one. Will the baby one be OK for one person? I presume it will, otherwise they wouldn't make it?

Hi Vita

Yes and no!! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

It will be fine when there's only you, but if you have only one guest you will be struggling. Confused

You can put less in a big one, but you can't put more in a little one. I'd suggest the standard (middle) size would be ideal. It's not much bigger than the small one for storage, but holds quite a bit more food. (An extra inch or so in diameter almost doubles the capacity.)

Cheers

Said it before. If you think the Remoskas is good look at the Bravoska. Looks better, more versatile, adjustable, and cheaper.

We have both.

The Remoska and Bravoska seem to be useful, however, there is a cheaper alternative, the mini halogen oven which can be purchased for Ģ40. This does appear to have another advantage, the lid and pan are clear so the cooking process are visible.

I'll get the middle sized one then - you never know when you'll have a guest! I hadn't heard of the Bravoska until I read this forum ... I'll have to google it. Vita

I don't know about the Bravoska, but the main reason we went for the Remoska is the fantastic after sales service you get from Lakeland Plastics. Very Happy Very Happy

They NEVER argue!! The slightest fault and you get a brand new item. Shocked Very Happy Very Happy

Cheers

Get the recipe book as well. It's about a tenner I think, and well worth it as the little one that comes with the Remoska is a bit limited.

Ignore the cooking times. Everything takes nearly an hour. Open the lid and check when it's done, that's the only sure way with any cooking as you know.

Bon appetite

Biggest issue with the Bravoska is that the small one is 1250W and the large 1700W. You could find yourself unable to use it on some of the continental sites with low amp hookups. The big Remoska is only 650W and the standard 470W so a big difference in power requirements.

We have yet to encounter a situation where we haven't been able to use the Bravoska. But as its adjustable I assume you can turn the power down. I will have to test it on my meter widget and perhaps post results.
