In your photography to what extent, if any, do you try to avoid power lines and vapour trails / contrails?
In the Landscapes competition I notice quite a few instances of both. Sometimes power lines can sort-of frame a view and my reasoning was that they are there, why pretend they're not? But I can't make that work with vapour trails which I think are a horrible intrusion.
Pylons are a bug bare of mine and I`m sure of most people but I try and avoid them at all costs. They make a photo, especialy a landscape look very ugly and are alien to the finished article.

But fairly easy to remove using the clone tool in photoshop.
That might also work perhaps for contrails breaking them up so they dont look obvious or turning parts into a fluffy nimbus

I love vapour trails.
Now don't get me started on seagulls, they ruin a picture and what about small children getting in the way. Dogs and cats are always trying to get in on the act as well making a picture look untidy....... Thank god for photoshop...
I thought this was a photography competition, so if I'm to stand any chance at all with my Brownie 127...........leave it out with the photoshopping ......I too have photoshop, but, find a landscape without the vapour trails or pylons.....otherwise your work is pure fiction. ...................Do you think I will have rattled anyones cage with these remarks ......didn't mean to honest, just my opinion.

I do understand that the quality/composition/angles etc will vary from camera to camera & photographer to photographer, but my point is if powerlines are in your shot, then either go with it or choose another shoT. if you photoshop them out then you may as well edit in a sunset or something, its still "altering the original content".....I'm not ranting, It's just what I think.
