Hi. Can anyone recommend any companies who insure large/unusual self built motor homes?
I have a 37ft Volvo coach which i converted about 5/6 years ago & lived in for about 3/4 years in england, spain + portugal.
At the time my insurance was around £500 fully comp, but after a lady in a car crashed into me it went up to £1000, forcing me to take it off the road.
Now i need to put it back on the road but am being quoted over £1000 third party only!
Can anyone help?.

Hi vmh and welcome to MotorhomeFacts

Have you tried looking at the

? There's a couple of insurance companies quoted there who might help. Alternatively, there are a few insurers who give subscribed MHF members a discount, who might be worth looking at Wink

cheers guys,
I have checked out the sbmcc but thought some recomendations from members could save me a lot of phone calls.
I get fed up with listening to "Sorry we dont insure self builds" over and over again!
