When you are on site, and use the site showers etc, do you stroll about in your pyjamas and nighties etc?
I cannot believe how many people are strolling about in nighties and slippers to get to the showers etc. This is a large site so it is a fair old walk to the facilities from many of the pitches.
Is it more a caravanner thing? There are about 100 caravans here and a mere three motorhomes.

I stopped using nighties on campsites as I got some weird looks. I normally leg it over in clothes with a bag of fresh clothes to put afterwards. But I hate it when you try and put your clean knicks on and always your feet are covered in sandy\muddy\horrible water which makes the legs wet. I have toyed with the idea of the silk dressing gown, slippers, etc as I have seen, looking very much like Sherlock Holmes going for a crap but without a pipe so the jury is still out.

I think it is a continental thing that is speading across here. At one point you never saw it on a UK campsite but it is now much more common.
It is much more practical. Your dressing gown or bathrobe covers much more than a bikini or swimming trunks so it can hardly be said to be revealing anything much !
We use fleecy tracksuits in winter and an old dress for me and swimming trunks and tee shirt for him in summer with flipflops for both of us. We don't have nighties or pyjamas.
If there is not a decent changing area then we tend to use the van.

When we brought our van back from Scotland, we stopped overnight in Appleby, Cumbria. This was the first night we had ever spent in an MH, and also on a campsite.
I need to have a shower in the morning, so got dressed and wandered down to the facilities. On my way i bumped in to a woman, who was in her nighty, with a fag on and hacking away . This was in January and raining!!! what the hell would she have been wearing in the summer

There goes another - in a flimsy nightie and nothing else - but it is blooming freezing this morning.
They can go starkers and it does not bother me, but they are made of hardier stuff than me I think.

Don't forget the Fez....drop the pipe, and use a cigarette holder instead....and a cravat.
