Hi Stew,
Not had any problems at all with AOL for some very considerable time.
When I did have problems, the Irish call centre is the best, the Indian one is useless. If you keep phoning, eventually you will get Ireland I found.
The phone call costs after 6pm, from memory are 1p a minute and I found them really excellent is solving my problem over a year ago.

Hello,
My AOL broadband has been down most of the day also. It also happened one day last week. It comes back all on its own.
See ya,
Neil

been on and off for a week. Apparently they have been taken over by the car phone warehouse. I went ballistic on the phone and they have reduced my paymeny from 24.99 to 9.99 for full download service

Carphone warehouse (Talktalk) and AOL joined forces some time ago - I don't know who bought who, or if it was an amalgamation.
However, in the last few weeks there has been (and still is) an enormous amount of upgrading going ahead, which has caused unbelievable problems for some.

then to members forums (you cannot post unless registered) you can see further details, and a list of area's currently undergoing work.
I am on talktalk and it has been a real pain sometimes, affecting emails as well, but hopefully when completed, will improve the service.
