Hope this isn't a daft question. We have a Swift Sundance 2001 on a 1.9 SWB Fiat Ducato chassis. We are off on our first trip next weekend from N.Yorks to Derbyshire and are wondering about the tyre pressures. It says 5bar for both front and back on the door sticker. There will just be 2 people and minimal stuff on board as it's just a 2 day break.

Having never had a MH before, 5bar seems a lot to us just being used to cars - is this correct? Also, how do you check it as our pressure gauges for the cars don't go that high?

Hi

If you have Michelin tyres, you could contact the Michelin technical helpline on 01782 402000. Ask for the technical department.

I run at about about 4.5 or 65 psi. I used to run at 5.5 - 80 psi.

Russell

You need to load up your M/H to max travelling weight, take to weigh bridge to be weighed, each axle plus complete, then ring your tyre manufacturer giving all tyre, axle weight etc details as requested , they will then give you recommended tyre pressures.
