I'm very surprised that no one on here has mentioned the World Cycling in Manchester! We're winning medals and winning them well, including a World record and stuffed the Aussies Laughing Laughing H

"I'm very surprised that no one on here has mentioned ..."

Did they have to unsecure them from motorhomes first? I reckon that's where a Brompton would gain time.

If only that was part of the race. I'm getting pretty handy myself. It's just the actual cycling that I have a problem with.

First I heard of it on the Today programme this morning. As you say, it's not exactly publicised widely. One of the team - Rebecca ?, is also a gold medal and Olympic medal winning rower. Remarkable when you consider that they use such different parts of the body.

That upper body strength is ideal for getting the bike off the back of the motorhome.

Rowing is mostly about thighs that's why the seats move.

I'd have thought you needed strong shoulders too - at least most of the rowers I see seem to have very well developed muscles up there !!

I wonder who'll end up in the New Years Honours list however ? Not this young lady I bet. Not sports with sufficient crowd appeal.
