Only one word for Sat Nav:

Garmin

Unfortunately the Nuvis seem to suffer from a weak speaker as do some of the TomToms. The Garmin C550 is an excellent and extreemely fast machine. I once ran a test for work comparing five different units and my Garmin C550. The only way to get a good comparison was ti run all six together. There were three TomToms, a Navman, and another Garmin.
ON roundabouts and traffic islands the Garmin C550 and TomTom 720 were a match, but for re-routing following a deliberate mis-route, the Garmin was consistently faster than TomTom.

There is a new version of the Garmin Nuvi due soon with twin front mounted speakers that will enhance the virtues of this unit.
