We have a Khyam Motordome which we find OK. I understand you can buy a '2 person bedroom' to clip inside if you wish.

We have just bought a Movielite XL, seems fairly good. We have put it up once to try it, at a Campin & Caravanning Club site at Bala. The warden came up after we took it down to say that it exceeded the 5 meter width limit, giving insufficient space between units. He said once we were on the system as having an oversize unit we wouldn't be able to book sites over the Internet, only by phoning, so we told him we wouldn't be using it on C&CC sites.
That is not a factor that ever entered my head before I bought it!

A few years ago I purchased a Harrison Hi Top. On my second trip with it we went offsite for the day, during which time their was an unexpected high wind. On our return the awning was down ans several support posts were damaged. Harrisons quoted £175 for the damaged poles, The awning is now in the shed.
I then bought a Moto awning with inner tent second hand, it works very well. Since the problem with the Harrison I am vary wary about awnings with slab sides, they seem to catch the wind, the Moto is a rounded awning which seems to deflect the wind easily. When the Harrison was damaged I noticed on site that seven slab sided awnings were down ( the ones attached to caravans seemed to survive), but none of the rounded type suffered any apparent damage.

Hi we purchased the Kyham Motordome Excelsior, it litrally 'pops up' and then collapses down. All the poles are pre threaded through the material and it takes about 10 minutes to get it into upright position then another 10 to peg it down. No heavy poles to lug around and to try and fit together. It comes in two sizes depending on the height of your MH. Takes even less time to put it down.
I did a review under the product reviews. We had the Dorema previously but found it too bulky to put up if we were only away for 2 or 3 days. The Kyham is so easy to use we often just put it up if we are out at the country park for the day in the summer.

Don't know if this will help but we're just shopping about too - came across the Harrington Motorhome annexe - with options to add on additional rooms to the sides if required. "The Harringtons Motorhome annexe is a four piece full zip out acrylic awning. It has a one piece printed roof, a full fly screen on each side panel, six door ways, both sides can take either a tall or standard annexe" more info here www.discover.co.uk/awnings/motorhome

just be a little wary and make sure you measure correctly.....we bought a motordome excelsior, the larger one, last year to go on our euramobil.....we measured the height of the awning rail and were told it would definately fit....got it back and tried it. it went up really easily, attached to the awning rail fine and fixed to the ground ok, however, we couldn't open the door!!!! as the door is set quite high in double floored vans the only way it would work was if the awning was off the floor by a good 3 inches. i hasten to add we got rid of it....we know have a khyam quick erect gazebo, which is brilliant and doesn't just get used when we are out and about in the van
