I am typing this via my brand new 3 dongle at home.

I have just picked it up from the store and because I have a 3 phone, I get the modem free and at half the monthly fee. Laughing

It is as fast as my Virgin cable broadband and connected immediately

I was going to have the £10 package but as its half price I have gone for the £15 option at £7.50

just hope it works as well when we are out and about

Geoff
You will be impressed. Used mine for 2 weeks now, same deal as you. Sitting in a friends Fleurette 73LJ (Cabby) in remote Derbyshire with very good signal.

The Fleurette is terrific, I'm very impressed. Cabby won't swap though.

Hi Peter

Glad you like it! Tell Philip I still have no news of mine yet......and the recent Posts from Gerry, Shaun etc have reassured me somewhat about Judder! (I'm sure he-Philip-thinks I'm obsessed Laughing ) Get him to try "Shaun technique" on site Wink

Is it your Dongle then??? ....Cabby too mean to get one?? Wink

Enjoy your "rally"

Hi all, had mine for sometime now and it's great in the UK but watch out if you use it in France or Germany - It gets bloody expensive!

Hi

It is not too long ago that internet on the move was only for the chosen few. I wonder how much lower the prices can go, Well done to THREE though, as in my opinion the set the ball really rolling last September with the launch of the dongle.

Must get meself one of these dongle jobbies. The wifes company keep threatening to buy her one but they never seem to come up with the goods so may need to fund it myself.

Are the speeds really as fast as broadband at home then? if so, I'd be tempted to ditch the home ADSL and go "mobile".

Why would anyone need to smack a great big Netmaster dish on the roof of the van if these work just as well? Or am I misunderstanding them?

I was wondering the same myself.
What sort of speeds are you geting from these "dongles"
Is any one faster than the other e.g. "3", Vodafone, T-Mobile etc.
I assume the area you are in will also have some effect on the speed??

I am at the moment using a Vodafone dongle costing me £15 per month. Second time of using it. Now its finally picked up and connected to a network its working fine. Its a bit slower than my wireless connection at home but it works OK as far as I am concerned.

Used it in Yorkshire, Hull and now near Preston so far so good. Its great to be able to be on line away from home. I am like a bear with a sore head without a computer on the end of my arm as TV is absolutely useless.
