In one of my motorhomes the cargo net clipped at the top but was permanently screwed at the bottom, to the wood under the mattress if my memory serves correctly, and as I didn't use it I unscrewed it and stored it until changing MH so your previous owner may have done the same.
If you intend to use it I suggest you screw it at the bottom again and when using the bed unclip at the top, roll up from the top and tuck under the mattress at the outer edge so as not to make a ridge where you are lying (assuming the luton is a bed of course!).

Hi JennyS and welcome. We had an Autohomes Wildwind Y reg. Although we did not sleep in the luton we did store almost everything of a relatively light weight up there. We never used the net and I don't recall anything falling off ever.

That's good to know Sue - we won't be sleeping up there either We do have a very nervous dog, who's afraid of things falling on her, so we were going to use the cargo net just in case.

Hi Jenny
We keep quite a bit of stuff up there but on the top of everything are our 2 or 3 sleeping bags.
Light but bulky and the fabric makes them prone to slide so we never travel without the mesh in place.
We have had three 12v television for use in our campers which have all worked on "12"VOLTS NO PROBLEMS!!!I have seen on this website before that 12v TV's require a constant 12voltsThis is not true os they have built in voltage stabilizers. All three that we have had came with cigar lighter plugs fitted to the 12v supply so one would assume that they are meant to be plugged into the car/camper socket and draw whatever voltage the vehicle battery is supplying.we now are using an EVESHAM 10'4"analogue and digital t.v. with built in DVD.We collect the free films supplied with the Mail.We also use a "ALdi"sattelite receiver and dish bought when they were on offer at £49.This works a treat both in the UK and in france.I use a compass to line the dish up and have had good results without too much effort.the Evesham set is now on offer at £119 and is a good little set and doesnt take up too much room

I use a Mikomi 15" lcd tv. Argos was selling them for less than £80 last week. I use a 300w pure sine inverter. If you are happy with a true 12v/240v CRT tv (not lcd tv) then I have one with built in video recorder if you are interested.

Thanks very much. I'd like to try for a flat screen first though.
