Hi All

As we await delivery of our new motorhome I am looking at putting a tracking system on it in case of theft.

What do you think? Is there any need to go this extreme? Is it just another extra?

Opinions for and against would be very much appreciated!

Regards

Arizona

Hi Laughing
Try http://www.max.tv/gadgets.asp they have a system that uses a PAYG system - seems very good - has other uses like keeping an eye on the Kids and defining an area etc

It may depend on the insurance company

If you are buying a new motor home above a certain value, then you may be required to fit a Tracker in order to get cover
It can cost up to £500 to have it installed and monitored for 12 months but this cost can be partially offset by a large discount on your premium
All I can say is that if its worth stealing then its worth protecting
Happy wheels

If stolen would you want it back.? you can make it very hard to steal with a little cunning on your part. like fuel cutoff/ ect /keyless start.

This was the case with me.I ended up with a cobra system and it works very well, getting the phone call within like three minutes or there abouts when doing a test or just forgetting to turn the fob on. Embarassed

Paid around £500.00 or something for life long subscription or as long as I own the van.
