Having had a quotation for the forthcoming year for motorhome insurance from Saga, on wading through their key features booklet I was amazed to find that if you choose to have legal protection (quite important with the new higher excesses) you are not covered for this outside the UK. I wonder how many people are driving about on Saga insurance unaware of this fact.

I don't think Saga are the only ones that do this. I am continually worried about extras added to the m\home. I have phoned up my insurance twice for reassurance but I still do not feel 100% happy with stuff added after the vehicle was bought.

None of the 3 posts this person has made make any sense to me.

Is it just me?

I note there is a link in his signature - I wonder if that is of any significance?

Cheers

Dave

Hey guys, can we stick to English as a first language here. It is good enough for international Air Traffic Control and Marine Radio so it would be good to hang on to it in the Forum.

I liked his other one best

"Insurance, in law and economics, is a form of risk management primarily used to hedge against the risk of a contingent loss. Insurance is defined as the equitable transfer of the risk of a loss, from ..."

Well done Jerry

Evening all,
The clause in the Saga legal protection seems to be universal.
It is expensive to pursue legal claims across the channell.
My experiance with this cover is that I do not think that it is value for money as you can put all the required info forward yourself and deal directly with other companies.
I have been with saga insurance for a few years until tonight.

Saga quote for 2005 Mercedes slk 4 thou miles pa £269.27
Hastings direct " " " 179.00

Saga 2007 Renault clio 7 thou miles pa £198.80
Hastings direct " " 140.00

Yes I change and saved £ £149.07
All fully comp.
Will keep with saga for m/h at £287 inc european breakdown cover @£81.

Shop around and save a few bob
Dave P

This will pay the ferry fair for summer hols.
