Sadly, I don't spend enough time overseas! But that will change.

Re the internet access overseas.

The best place to look is the forum main page, then click on internet access. There is loads of info there.

Briefly though....

www.three.co.uk - if you have one of the dongles, it will work in Italy, Austria and various countries without being classed as roaming, providing you are on the THREE network for that country.

France - The Auchan Hypermarket chain have a dongle - but is it worth another donlge, when, WiFi is quite common in France and is free at www.mcdonalds.fr - click on "chercher un restaurant" and look for the McWifi symbol.

Spain - no idea as it is not on my loist of places to go, but recently discussed on the forum.

Internet cafes are still fairly cheap. Some in Italy will require you to register and show your passport. Not sure about other countries.

Be very careful if you use a UK based SIM card for the net overseas. T Mobile UK for example will charge £7.50 per Megabyte - and that is not a lot of browsing - just a few pages.

Russell

Ooh flipping heck all these conflicting reports regarding the legalities and technical aspects of towing with an A Frame both in the UK and Europe are enough to send you dizzy with confusion! LOL

We find our A Frame works fine, we have never been stopped by the police whilst using it , our insurance company are fine with insuring both the motorhome and the Smart whilst on tow, so we are happy and as far as we are concerned, until such time as we have been instructed we are committing an offence - we aint gonna worry about it no more!

Sue

Hi Roger, just go for it, this will be our 3rd year at towing on A frame, perhaps you will let us know how you get on. N.joy. Life is too short to worry too much .
