Ace Capri "Pulsing" shower

Something I noticed last weekend, & wonder if anyone has any pointers please.

When using the standard mixer tap in the kitchen sink, the pump runs & water seems to flow fine.
However, when using the shower head in the bathroom, either on just cold (brushing teeth), or mixing temp for a shower, the water seems to "pulse" resulting in what seems like squirts alternating between v. hot & stone cold water.
It almost seems like there's a bit of a blockage in the shower hose acting like a valve - I've taken off the shower head, but to be honest I'm not sure it's better.

The shower head's of the all-in-one type which pushes back into the tap to be used as a standard tap then pulls out to hang on the shower bracket.
There's a panel below the tap which looks like it just unscrews, so shall I just take this off & see what's going on, of is it sealed on as well?

Alternatively, am I just expecting too much? Still getting used to how everything works Very Happy

I would guess that the pressure sensor on your water pump (or wherever) needs a tweak to make it a bit less sensitive. The head of water it has to pump up when the shower head is higher up in the "shower" position is making it a bit too enthusiastic.

No idea which way to turn it, but no more than a quarter turn at a time then try it - even less than a quarter turn may do the trick.

I noticed this on our Swift and it is present on our current van. I think you ill find that when you use the kitchen tap you use full flow, but when you use the tap for the shower or sink you are trying to regulate the flow and therefore putting a restriction into the flow. This restriction will feed back to the pressure switch and make it shunt. It is the shower head that is causing it. Take the shower head off and just use the open pipe and it will not shunt.

Obviously a fairly "normal" occurrence then in reality, but for less than 20 squids (or indeed a turn of a screw maybe) it can be improved, thanks for the tips everyone - even stoopid Dave!!

Just to go off topic a bit

Neil, Dent was, yes you guessed it, WET!
Had a great time though, we actually went the Ribblehead way, then down into Cowgill & across from there, that road's a bit tight in places, especially one of the bridges over the river in the bottom!

Stayed on High Laning site, the main one in the middle, to be honest I thought it was a little expensive (15.50pn) when we arrived there, compared to the other places we've stayed, but in reality I'd definitely go back, ideal location & on a farm too.

Ran up Flintergill on Friday to "loosen off", only did up the lane & across to Barbondale road & back - it was enough! Ate in the Sun Inn afterwards, excellent cumberland sausage & a great range of ale too.

Had a walk over to Sedbergh on Saturday, got wet, went in the Dalesman pub for soup & a great pint & caught the bus back! Had a couple in the George then, well you have to try these places!!

Some real hardcore campers there though, not softies like us, these people were in a tent you could put in your pocket & making tea outside in the hail! Well 'ard that is - you can't help but admire 'em, I sometimes wish I could still be ar*ed, but now we've got this, well, I just sat & watched form the warmth Smile
