Further to Timbos enquirey I was wondering if there is any mileage in the following.

A hanger (i.e. aircraft used to live here) 27470 sq feet @ £2.50 per sq ft.
Plus rateable value £46250 - therefore about £27806 per annum rates.
Plus £1.12 per sq ft for services which includes 24/7 security guards, cameras and security wire surrounds whole estate.

Basic facilities inside of water and elec.

Are these figures to high to consider for motorhome storage as I have no idea how to run a business. Probably outside storage available too at no charges extra.

Thats 90% all there for gold star cassoa ( or whatever its called).

( to save me the bother of the calculations I shall now type):

I could rent out 300 vans at 400 quid and make a packet.

That was a bit vague for me. Could you do this sort of thing by numbers for me and where do we get 300 m\homes from. I presume insurance is going to be a bummer.

If it is a venture, I might consider half costs and half work.

Pusser, normally when I post anything with sums involved, I get them wrong and I get a correction in the next post. this time, I just thought I'd save myself the bother and post some inaccurate numbers and let someone else do the work. Failed. Sad

I've been looking at storage this weekend and yesterday, and was quoted from 488 to 928 per year.

300 seems to be the idea number if the storage sites I have looked at are anything to go by.

I'm not sure what price are based on, either per van, or per foot length, but the people I saw, ( an ex-farmer and a semi retired blokey) seem to have very little problem getting custom.

I may, depending on my degree of apathy, try for an insurance quote for this type of company, and if its within a couple of grand yearly, I'll pm you if you're serious.

Then, it would depend on the rent/rates for the building are payable annually or monthly.

I am serious to find out the bottom line and then I may become frivalous depending on the bottom line figure, amount of work that will be needed and most important the amount of time. If you pm me your email address I will send you a link.
