HELP NUKEADMIN, I AM STARTING ANOTHER THREAD AS I AM SUFFERING WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS OF NOT BEING ABLE TO PM OR POST REPLIES OR EVEN TRYING TO START A NEW THREAD USING MY AOL BROWSER. THINGS ARE SO BAD I AM HAVING TO RESORT TO MR GATE'S INTERNET EXPLORER. JUST HOW LOW DO I NEED TO GO TO KEEP IN TOUCH.

Toned my thread down as i was shouting loudly before so I am now just shouting quietely

Sorry about the shouting, really bad form, its just that I am so fed up with aol. As a colleague of work stated recenty, AOL browser, "spawn of the Devil"

I will be quieter in future when I have a new ISP

called today for a mac code aohell are going to send it in the next 5 days so until then i am replying and posting on firefox and opening my emails on aohell i take it you you have been switched to aol dialbb

I really dont understand why you are squawking...................!

I only use AOL for connection and its perfect, dont bother with AOL website or AOL emails at all.

I use IE and Hotmail, don't even use the AOL log on screens to connect to Broadband (at home) and there are 3 PC's hardwired and a laptop on wireless................

No problems.

As above ditch the software get a email address from Yahoo or other and use IE or Firefox.

I got shot 2 months ago just use them for my connection now.

Tried the Mac code route 18 months ago and thy offered me a connection for £9.99, can't find anybody cheaper at the mo.

since the change over the remote computer cuts me of every time the phone rings then informs me i am not me
i have to click start click control panel click internet connections click aol click connect then enter password to get on line then sign on then the phone rings start again and this is £25 per month broadband now do you understand why i am squawking
just wait until they change you over to dialbb

Maybe your Pc's and router are not set up correctly.

All we do is boot up a PC or Laptop and they connect automatically either on wireless or hard wire. Dont click on anything.

Utterly infamous for having problems.

I spent hours and hours on the help lines and my troubles only went away with a reformat and change of ISP. Note ISP first....

They are just not compatable with common programs.

Use them at your own risk, I certainly would never ever again and I have been on line over 12 years now. Once bitten...

So ... what happens if you are tied up for 12 months, quite like the service but only problem is you can't post on this website only through AOL and have to go through IE?

Am beginning to quite like IE and not even go through AOL - am not very good with change, come to think of it am not very good with computers oh and my cooking leaves a lot to be desired, good gardener though well if stuff doesn't die on me! Laughing Laughing
