Sent you an e mail outlining my problem, but forgive me if I repeat it here as I am getting desperate, not to mention paranoid Sad

The site does not recognise me at all, I have gone off the staff list, a search does not show any posts from me, but I do have an album which is reassuring Shocked

My password is invalid on the log in page and a request for an e mail reminder tells me that HelenB has no account with the site so no information held.
I have asked Gill on another site to relay this problem to you as I couldn't log in under this name either for a few goes, so if you see this Gill don't worry and thanks Smile

Unless I have really upset you all I presume this is a temporary hitch, but please let me back in I promise to be good in future Confused

PS If a mod reads this could you make it sticky for me so Dave sees it as I have no powers anymore Crying or Very sad

But at least my trusty pup came to my rescue and got in touch with Nuke and he has sorted it out for me Wink

Anyway glad to see you have been reinstated HelenB, round these parts we have had to resort to telephoning each other to talk motorhomes since the site has been playing up.........I do hope it is all sorted out now and this post does not disappear into the ether......keep up the good work Nuke and the mods!

ok gang, got the ram in now we are proud owners of 2GB of ram, unfortunately it seemed when the server was shutdown it corrupted the users database table.

I recovered it, but i think anyone who was logged in at the time may have lost their account.

I have recovered Helens and Detourers so far. if anyone else was affected let me know via email

Still tweaking away, getting there slowly but surely

would be interested in how fast it is for everyone atm

i.e. what page generation times at bottom of the page and the perceived speed of the site ?

Thank you Spykal, comforting to know someone is glad I am back, was a bit spooky though to suddenly discover I had been wiped away, all my posts just vanished, most odd, I often feel that I am an unimportant cog in the scheme of things but that was going to far Laughing

However yesterday I found myself suddenly logged out & unable to log in ie wrong password/username. I am mysteriously back this morning.

Dave is it possible to have an extra search facility whensearching members database etc. eg I was trying to find a particular member to see what van they had. It would have been handy to have also had a letter option as well ie click on M for motorhomer instead of wild guessing where abouts it is amongst the now massive amount of pages.
