I'm looking to have an awning fitted to my Hymer van 522 and need advice on which awning to have fitted. I spoke with various Fiamma and Omnistor bods at the P'boro show and all gave me different info! So my questions are which awning - Fiamma or Omnistor? What length? Which brackets? Also I assume the rear bracket will be hidden in the rear cupboard but can the front bracket(s) be seen?
many thanks

Tootsie

Hi Tootsie;

The best length for a 522 is 3mtrs.

I have an omnistor 5001 but you can also get the equivalent fiamma (f45 i think) version. As far as I know both companies do a fitting kit for the hymervan.

None of the brackets are visible from the interior, they are hidden behind the cosmetic panel that is fitted at a 45deg angle between the wall and roof.
