Nothing surprises me any more about this government

In the latest CC magazine, owners were advised about this. Evidently some tuggers keep larger, older cars excluvisely for towing duties.

It's typical of this government. This is so unfair. Lot's of people have older cars because they cannot afford a new one. I can understand the need to be greener but it's impossible if this is retrospective.
I'm in favour of all car taxes being taken from the fuel we use. This is very fair and the people who cannot afford to fill up regularly will pay less than those who do.
What next? Exclamation Exclamation

Governments shouldremember they are in parliament because of the voters, not in spite of them

What about a system, which would, in one way, (and one way only ) mirror that of the Americans.

No government shall serve more than 2 terms of a maximum of 5 years in office.

Totally agree. An ebb and flow is necessary to prevent governments from getting so far removed from the people and thei needs.

Yeah ebb and flow would be great in theory, trouble is all we get is ebb, ebb, and more sodding ebb - they are all a pack of wet ass losers that have no real connection to ordinary peoples everday lives and financial constraints

Charge road tax for road development and maintenance, and charge fuel tax for revenue and environmental reasons, and charge a bl00dy fair whack per mile for airline travel - bugger$ get off scott free almost

Where my road tax goes is anyones guess - ours will be nearly £1000 in 2010 simply because we have two older vehicles and our motorhome. Combined annual mileage for all three is less than 20,000 per annum. Hey ho - sh*t happens then Labour and The Conservatives nick the loo paper - ba$tard$

Anyway if everyone here signed the petition it may make a difference - popular support is the life blood of politicians so make your voice heard and SIGN now.

And isnt that the problem ? People think that a vote against Labour in local elections is a vote against the Government-well, it isnt! We have a thoroughly incompetent Conservative local council-quite honestly, I would vote anything but Tory just to get them out!! Please try to seperate local and national politics-they are very different animals!
