we are off to the pyrenees next week and have been looking for annual worldwide insurance , one of my friends was sure he was covered by a free insurance with lloyds but found it only gave him cover up to 2000mts.
i will be 71 in august and this proved problematical also, however i was able to get insured with the BMC (british mountaineering council).
the cover includes helecopter rescue etc and is excellent Hazel being a mere child has to pay £98 and mine came in at £146.
