Hi Jede

Thanks for your sympathy. If by manufacturer you mean Concorde, I have written to the joint MD's twice(4 letters in all) and not even had the courtesy of an acknowledgement.
If you mean the dealer with whom my contract for purchase is with they will repair the faults with the living area but have said they are in Iveco's hands for the gearbox problems.
If you mean the manufacturer of the gearbox, ZF they will not reprogramme the gearbox unless Iveco instruct them.
Iveco cant or will not do that. The only suggestion they have come up with is to reduce the ratio of the back axel.

Great this M' Homing lark ain't it

I'm not sure about the Agile gearbox - I assume it's a fully computerised manual?

My '99 Phoenix on a 49/12 came with ACS - a gear lever but no clutch pedal. It was bloody awful but not that hard to convert back to manual. Did it myself for about £250.

One trick I learned during my year of ACS motoring for slow manouvering, hill starts, etc was to left-foot brake. It certainly made reversing less stressful and in some of these situations I even preferred it to a manual clutch.

For Daily specific chat I recently found the Iveco Daily Club at http://ivecodailyclub.getforum.org/ Still getting up steam what we need!

Hello we have an Iveco Daily chassis 35c something havent got book to hand. Seems a solid chassis. Our gearbox is a little bit tight on selection when its cold, when it warms up after a few miles loosens up, we understand this is normal. We put some fully Synthetic gearbox oil and that helped. Ours is an older model 6 years old. We chose it because of the payload available. It is a 2.8td model but has a torqtec device fitted that as increaded the bhp to 150, seems pretty gutsy and tows our motorbike and trailer with ease.

Swore blind I would never buy another Fiat but have to say its been great.
Test drove Carthargo I 51 at Lowdhams which was on the Iveco with the semi automated box.I also drove a Carthargo Merc. The Iveco was streets ahead in terms of comfort ride, excellent chassis and engine. Pick up our new Carthargo I 47 next month but on a Fiat/Alko as we just could,nt go the extra mile! Mate of mine Post Office mechanic works on Iveco's nearly all the time and certainly they don't appear to suffer any major problems. Money no object would have gone for the Concorde but that's another story.Hope you get your problems sorted certainly would not put me off buying on an Iveco (just need those six numbers)
