Yep I have one for sale. A peugot ludix , 3 years old, 700miles and looks almost brand new, 50cc with a cover. A good bike for a motorhome as it only wieghs 70Kg. We have carried it on our easylifter with loads of Kgs to spare. It takes two people quite adequately. send a reply to my Email if you are interested and I will send more details and pics, but we are in southampton but it's a nice place for a weekend. Right on the Solent seafront. price Ģ600 ono. geminiandrew32@ntlworld.com

yes I think I put it on about two months ago in the for sale area but at a higher price. I shall be at the newbury show with it on the back of my Hymer 544 sno5 pxu in the 'odds and sods' camping, between the road and the fence as the MHF sight inside the compounds tend to be too near the entertainment marquee and the large noisey generators. If I don't sell it there I shall be at the Stratford show from tuesday until monday in the MHF 35 van lager where I am told we all gather round in a circle and fend off the circling 'red indians' from the brownhills encampment and the motorhome camping club. ( not that I have anything against indians you understand) Wampum may be exchanged.

Hi Alan. I have just sold a scooter, we still have another but will be keeping it at the moment. you don't say if you will be riding alone or taking a passenger. If you are taking a passenger I would get a 125cc. We have a Italjet 125 LC which is about 106 kg. But to be honest scooters don't get a lot of use. We tend to take bicycles on most trips, we see more and enjoy it, the trouble with a scooter is you nip everywhere shop / beach ect. With a bike we might be out all day, still all depends were you go. But with a 125cc you will need to take the test to carry a passenger. Good Luck Bob.

Sorry for hijacking the thread but does anyone know the laws for riding scooters? I don't have a bike test but have car and LGV and passed my driving test 1981.
Can I ride one on my license? Can I take a passenger?
Cheers.
Johnny

my understanding is 50cc yes without Lplates. 50cc can take passengers.
125cc and above need to take bike test but then cant take passengers for a year !!

You would definately be better off getting a 125cc if you intend to carry a pillion passenger. You will find that 50cc bikes or scooters are ok if going solo but will struggle with 2 on.
Also, unless you have already passed your bike test, then you will have to take the CBT test which is valid for 2 years and then has to be re-taken (although this still will not allow you to carry passengers on a 125cc. )

If you take your test on a 500cc + bike and are over 25 (I think) then you can immediately carry a passenger.
Most people take lessons before the test with an instructor who will normally include a 500cc motorbike to learn and take a test.
I have a 125 Gilera scooter which is plenty powerful enough to carry 2 but would be careful to test a 50cc scooter as they will probably not be powerful enough. I must admit I have now also bought a Honda CG125 as well as I feel more stable on a motorbike.
I would also check that your motorhome will take the weight of the rack + bike, & you will be reducing your carrying capacity considerably.
Hope this is helpful
