Not a lot of relevance to motorhomers other than what it implies about T-mobile spreading their wings.

I had heard on the teccy news feeds that T-mobile were launching 3G in New York in the last few days, but I was surprised to find that the 5 days @ 50p per day I had swiched on a few days ago in Blighty just carried on working seamlessly when I arrived in Washington DC yesterday (and in Old Alexandria Virginia today). No vodafone-like texts to do this and that, it's just like I was still at home and simply works Smile

Now if only they would do France to add to the existing Germany .....

Hello

Another MHF'er used his T Mobile SIM in Germany and was not charged roaming rates. T Mobile however insist that roaming applies with net access overseas even when on sister T Mobile networks. Maybe there is a "fault" in their systems.

Hi Russell

I can only comment that it worked OK for us in Germany last September and we got charged £1 a day, same as in the UK.

T-Mobile has networks in more than Germany, the UK and the US. For example, has anyone tried the network in Holland? Also, has anyone been charged full roaming price for using the German network? I have only read posts (like Gaspode's) saying that the cheap rate has worked for them.

Hi

This was discussed a while back. I emailed T mobile and their reply was clear - roaming rates apply on their Dutch and German sister networks. I actually copied and pasted the email. Whether the info they supplied is wrong, or whether Gaspode was lucky, I do not know.
