Hi all,
I just bought this aerial from eBay :

And before I bought I asked if the signal booster that comes with it had a 12V Adapter suitable for a MH and was told yes (So I can use it when not at a campsite)
Anyhow, it arrived and it will accept 12V, but no adapter came with it (It came with a standard 230V 3-pin plug).

I mailed the seller and they said to return it for a full refund,, but I'd like to get the 12V adapter for it if I could.

Anybody know where I could get a suitable adapter ? ( It's 3-Pin plug/transformer that came with it has an output of 12V and 100mA so I assume it would have to be something similar)

Thanks !!

Thanks Graham.

Could you elaborate little please; did you connect to the 12V Socket or directly to your battery ?
If either of the above - how exactly ?

Thanks !

Hi deadl0ck

One of these should do the trick:

Make sure you have the polarity correct before using it (usually positive feed to the centre pin).

I have one of these antennas and now use it in my house for a TV in the dining room. They are much better than the cr@@ppy status antenna (mushroom type) mounted on the top. It receieves terrestrial TV brilliant mounted 7ft from the floor and we are in a valley with porr reception.
Re the lead shown. You might consider hard wiring the cable in as you would otherwise have to run a cable to your cig lighter but as the booster will probally never move you could fit it inside a cupboard and wire the cable into a 12v supply(cut the cig plug off). Just pull the jack plug out when your finished. You can also buy the plug and cable without a cig plug on.
